GForce and its manufacturing partner were contracted to design and fabricate Orifice Plates for Bechtel National, Inc. The Orifice Plates will provide flow reduction of chilled, raw, domestic, and plant cooling water and non-radioactive liquid waste in the piping systems at the River Protection Project’s Waste Treatment Plant.

The scope of work for this project includes the design, fabrication, and delivery of 86 Orifice Plates. These Orifice Plates range in sizes from 1” to 18” and are constructed of 316 L stainless steel. The Orifice Plates were designed to handle normal temperatures of 60°F up to 100°F; Meet flow rates from 100 gallons per minute (gpm) up to 8400 gpm; Allow pressure drop as low as 6 pounds per square inch (psi) and as high as 65 psi; and designed to have a bore tolerance of +0.005”/-0.005”.
